Industrial Decor is on Fire Right Now

Industrial Décor is hot right now

I found this fabulous industrial ball
and now I am trying to decide how to style it.
My imagination is in overdrive
I can pair it with an unlikely object....something opposite like a vase of flowers or add it to a group of items
Any way that I display it.....I absolutely LOVE it!

Driftwood Sailboats at Small Holdings Farm

A Whole New Fleet of Driftwood Sailboats
Have Arrived At The Shop

They are lovingly made with Long Island Driftwood
and Vintage Fabrics....ticking, cotton duck canvass, etc.
Each is one-of-a-kind  -  No two are the same

With all this snow, I have had plenty of time on my hands, so I put it to good use with this fleet of new driftwood sailboats!
We will get some up online in the next few weeks

Great Finds This Week

With all this snow and freezing weather
it is amazing that I managed to come across
so many great items this week
Here is a sample....

This fabulous antique jelly cupboard with original paint
 that cleaned up rather nicely

This HUGE antique rare metal pulley

This great antique wooden nautical pulley

Silver plate Ice Tea and Sugar Hotel Spoons

This great hand painted potato sign

I was so happy, that I actually was able to forget
about the ridiculous amount of snow and cold
 we have been getting.....for a little while...anyway

Valentines Day Fun with Flags

Fun and Easy Flags for Valentines Day

These are made with vintage fabric
I alternated red and white ticking with cotton duck canvass
I cut out the triangles and then folded the tops
over some twine and glued down the fold
 with a hot glue gun

The Hearts were painted on with fabric paint and I used
a heart shaped cookie cutter as my stencil

Then I got Crazy  I mean Creative

100 Year Old Original Paint Doors

We have acquired some original paint 100 year old doors

They are increasingly hard to find and are great for making farm tables
or using as Folk Art Décor by leaning them against a wall
A little cleaning and then a coat of poly
preserves the layers of chippy paint

All the different colors add depth and interest
We also have some fabulous louver doors
and of course all the doors are can be used for regular installation!
